Advantages: Fast fast fast, Great looker, Reliable

Disadvantages: Rear seat room poor, not much else really

I have owned my Nissan now for six years. That is a long time to own a car - for me anyway. The thing is I have never got bored with it, and as time has passed and the value decreased the problem has increasingly been, what do I replace it with.
I have gone through the marriage and babies thing, so another car has had to be purchased for the family. Thus the Nissan is now the second car - so money for this second car is less than I would like, so there is absolutely nothing to compare - even with another 2 or 3 grand in part ex with the Nissan that would compare.
The performance is excellent - once that turbo kicks in look out. And it still looks as good today as it did when I bought it (red is definately the colour to get)- a liitle TLC is all that was required.
I have had no major problems so costs have been low - it is a solid well built vehicle. I have had to replace the battery every couple of years - it needs a good battery to turn the engine - anything less and it may catch you out. I have done the oil changes myself - again required to keep the turbo in good health.
I always said that the only thing I would change it for would be a nice Jag XJS as I have always wanted one - but to get a good one these days is becoming difficult. My other option is to go for a slightly newer 200sx (not the new shape - just not the same) with the leather seats and the 2 litre engine - that would keep me happy for a good while!!

I've owned 3 Nissans now in amongst legions of Fords and Vauxhalls the first a Bluebird bought while on the dole cos it was going for £60 - dull as ditchwater the second last summer while skint was a Sunny unbelievably bland then six months ago an SX who'd of believed it - not me,a Nissan that stirred emotion. You're right red is the colour but bought as a repair project for £300 I might have to break it as with it's rotten sills and sieve-like boot(I can easily weld that up - and the engines a cracker)I don't know if I can be bothered because my Cav needs repairing and I yearn for a Sapphire Cosworth the 17's and lowered suspension along with good panels(doors and boot inc.) and solid motor mean I could break it and put cash towards the RS Cos but I don't know the SX is unique - but a Cos is much quicker

Hi and welcome to dooyoo. A nice first opinion, but you could have included a little more about your car. You know...controls, comfort, features etc. Nissan do seem to go on for ever. Enjoy the site.
