Advantages: Lots of car for your money - great fun

Disadvantages: Fuel consumption, expensive tyres & brakes

We have just parted with our 350z for a more sensible car but trust me this is a car you wont forget.

Power wise it has buckets - enough to make much more prestigious marques look like they forgot to put a proper engine in. And what an engine the big thumping V6 has a lovely tone and is as adept on winding country roads as it is on the motorway. In the dry it grips the road like a vice taking sweeping corners in a way that will make you think you are much better driver than you are - which is dangerous as in the wet all that power going to the rear can make the 350 very twitchy.

The on-board computer does a good job of trying to stop you drive beyond your means but its no nanny so take it easy on those first few wet days until you know you driving limits or you will find yourself in a ditch.

Feedback through the wheel is good and steering direct on the GT massive brembo brakes stop you on a penny ( almost took my shoulder out! ) This is a drivers dream of a car - fun - exciting and a little bit mad.

Interior is nothing to get excited about simple soft plastics but well laid out and everything where you would want it. The stereo is good but the CD player on mine was going when I got rid so check it when cold on older models as it is expensive to replace. My GT had heated leather seats which were comfortable on long journeys.

Maintenance is cheap £90ish for a small service but do not scrimp on brakes and tyres as these need to be good quality on a car like this.

Exterior I have had some paint issues. The front is prone to stone chips and the bonnet although alloy can develop a sort of corrosion which i had to have painted but it was 7 years old or so at the time.

Reliability mechanically has been brilliant - Only had to replace a cheap droplink until close to the end when i needed a new wheel hub - which want cheap. But the engine has not missed a beat.

Space wise - the boot is big for a sports car but due to a strutbrace it is hard to pack anything in. Going camping was difficult!

Fuel consumption was ok - but its a 3.5 V6 so dont expect it to be good especially in town.

Loved the car and hated to see it go. Would buy another if I had the money.

Summary: Buy it if you don't need a practical car!
