The Nissan Cube . . Where do I begin.

Lets get straight to it, the looks are very different. It looks like the Nissan designers have let a primary school class design it, it is exaclty how a 5 year old would draw a car. After my intial shock when seeing this car (which quickly turned into laughter imaging myself driving around in it), I actually became quite fond of this car.

I must stress that I was only renting this car, so as for things like durability I cannot really help, but I learnt a lot about this car in the short time I had her.

'Nina' as we called her was a real talking piece and everytime we stopped people would want to talk about her.

Nina really impressed me once inside. She has a very spacious interior, with loads of head room and boot space, plenty of room for 4 people or a family with children. The ride was really good aswell, it's not the quietest I have driven in, but not at all loed. The stereo was average, but was easy to work, it had an auxillary input (for ipods), which was really helpful. As for comfort it was great, I drove for 12 hours straight and I felt fine for all of it, without any pain in my back at all. Although I was driving an automatic and mainly on motorways, which would be comfier than a manual.

Although this is a compact car, it doesn't feel like it because of it's box shape. This means I was not intimidated or worried by lorries and trucks on the road, wheras in some small I would have been worried that they wouldn't have even seen me!

This is also quite a quick car when you get your foot down, much quicker than I was expecting. As for fuel consumption, It wasn't that great, we were averaging just under 30mpg, but as this isn't really built for motoway driving I suppose that isn't too bad.

Would I buy one of these cars?, possibly, the looks alone are a talking piece, and they are really fun to drive. Certainly after driving this I am much more likely to buy one. And while these are still rare cars, I reccomend you give one a test drive to see what you think!
