Nissan Micra (1983-92)

I am not a car boffin but I have had my Micra for over five years so I know it quite well in a useless-with-engines kind of way. Please excuse the non-technical language. After being without a car for a while I got a job that needed travel so I bit the bullet and went to the local car lot. Basically, it was any car under £1000 that looked okish. I've had my Micra now for three years. When I bought it, it was a steal. An Old couple had, had it from new and got it Nissan serviced yearly. I got it with just 27k on it :-) Anyway It's been fantastic. It's a 1.0 Engine, which OK it's not the fastest thing in the world but it's fun. Be warned it's heavily weight ratio'd. If you the driver weigh next to nothing like myself, you'll feel like you've got in a 1.6 or something. If on the other hand someone else gets in, you feel like your towing a caravan. It may look like an amusingly shaped ice cube, but… when it gets down to it, the Micra K10 is a damn good car. The K10 was produced from 1989 till 1992. You can recognize this model due is larger headlights and coloured front. The seats of this model where also improved, this because of the safety. If you look good to the front of the car you can also see that this is a bit higher than the older model K10 (just a little bit). The wheels are also a size bigger at this model; this model Micra has 13" wheels instead of the 12" mini-wheels of the older models. I have been meaning to write an opinion on the car, which I drive for quite a while now but until now haven’t really got around to it. I own the Nissan Micra LS 3 door saloon [hatchback], 988 cc petrol engine. Its the 1990 Hreg model with curves and full plastic bumpers This car looks good both inside and out, It looks less like a box now its gained a few curves, The body work has lasted well as with most Nissan cars. Yes there as been rust, but only small amounts which were easily touched up.
