Advantages: Good fuel economy, cheap car tax

Disadvantages: Boot could be a bit small

We are thinking of buying a new car, but can't afford a big one not that we could afford to run it anyway with the price of petrol. We have a '98 'E' reg Micra 1.0L which is just about on its' last legs bless it! Because the current one has lasted so long we hope to buy another Micra, perhaps an 'L' or 'M' reg.
The only thing is, as we now have an 18 month old and all of her junk to cart around whenever we go anywhere, I was wondering if the boot would be big enough? Is it the same size as the old model or smaller? Do the rear seats split?
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

I have a Citroen Saxo and found that to be great. It's quite a roomy boot but not quite big enough to put in really big 3-in-one pram that I have. It's good on petrol and they usually have some pretty good deals on where you pay either nothing as a deposit or very low (£100 mine was). The monthly payments are pretty good too. Have a look!

I doubt it: we have a 22month old daughter and a Ford Fiesta "T" reg. Unfortunately, all her bits and bobs and the luggage capacity do not equate!! By the way, I learnt to drive in a Micra and they're lovely to drive though!
