I have been driving my Qaqshqai since April o8 it is the Acenta model. It is a company car and I have done 18000 miles with no problems. Well ok one major problem but more of that later.

The car is an excellent drive both around town and on the motorway. I average about 44 mpg on motorway and 40 around town . When driving sensibly I achieve a lot higher. The Qashqai is very roomy and looks a big car but drives like one much smaller. It comes with loads of equipment
6 disc CD player
folding mirrors
air con very useful last few weeks
split ventilation
trip meters
auto lights
auto windscreen
to name but a few

In terms of space it is roomy comfortably sitting five on a medium distance journey. The boot is spacious for a weekend away two decent sized suitcases no problem. My longest journey has been for a long weekend to Bruges and we arrived quiet refreshed .

Servicing has been no problem, it had first proper service two weeks ago and no faults or advisories.

Problems firstly it was about a month after I got the car I looked in the manual and discovered it had a parking alert system. I spent half an hour twiddling with knobs putting it in gear etc etc but nothing. I called in at the Dealers and they gave me a courtesy car and later that day just advised it was a loose wire and since then no problem. So minus one point for that one

Major problem came in the September when the car was broken into at Birmingham Airport . Positive point was that the low lives were unable to circumvent the security. Negative was that they thrashed the ignition ripping out the wiring. Anyway to cut a long long story short it took six months to get a replacement ignition wiring loom. Apparently they are hand made to the model of car. Fortunately the company insurers provided a replacement car. Something worth considering when taking out insurance do you get a replacement car in case of theft - not all policies provide one
At the end of the sage Nissan were very apologetic and gave me a free service for the car which when I pointed out it was a company car they said dont worry it is valid for any Nissan car - so my Dad was happy to have his Primera serviced for nothing

Question is given it is a company car would I buy one and the answer is a resounding yes. I believe the new model is even better equipped so making it an even better buy
