Advantages: Performence for the Price
Disadvantages: Nissan don't sell them in the UK
I bought a M Reg Nissan Skyline GT-S 4 months ago and I have to say it has been a real pleasure to own. I spotted it in the autotrader web-site, went down and met the car importer who had just rolled it off the boat from Japan, got inside and fell in love instantly. From the moment the key is in the ignition you have this lovely throaty power roar, all 230 brake horses stampeding in unison. The car is a non-turbo 2.5 litre model, rear wheel drive, with climate control, active exhaust, I thought it prudent to have it checked out by an independant engineer before parting with the cash - he marked it 9/10 so i knew i was on safe ground. I've now had it for 10,000 miles and ahem had around 140mph out of it at the top end with an around 6.2/6.5 0 to 60 i must say i have been really impressed with the car, around town it's a pussycat - which is nice (you don't want to knock down any old ladies now do you) but get it out on the open and it really flies! Mpg is pretty poor - i guess in the early 20's but when you're having fun like this who cares! I've saved the best til last, I have a real cracker of a car with 35,000 miles, four seats so my wife and little one is happy and I paid only £8,000 - the asking price!!!

- 07/06/02 Yes it was a fantastic car, I had to sell it recently as we had a new arrival - needed the extra 2 doors!!!! I got £5,000 for it a year and a half and 27,000 miles on - not too bad really.
Caution -> I wouldnt recommend buying one of these cars unless you are absolutely sure of it's origin as there is a problem with stolen vehicles being re-sold in the UK |
