Where do I start on a review of the Peugeot (Pug) 106 GTI? This is a car that I have loved since I first saw one 7 years ago, but I will try not to omit the bad points from my review. I have owned my little beastie for four months now and it is the second one (and third 106) that I have owned. I wasn't really ... Read the complete review

Ive owned my 106 gti for 8 years now (yes 8 years) and im still not bored of it and it never fails to make me smile when i drive it. In my opinion the look of the gti is perfect and its still one of the best looking cars around today. It performs like no other standard naturally aspirated 1.6 ever, rivaling most 2.0's from around that era. The ... Read the complete review

ive had my gti a month and i went from a clio 1.6 16v mk2phs2 and thought that was quick , the pug is quick upto 110 but slow gaining after that , they corner and handle very good even better when lowered aroun d 60mm on shocks and springs. im running 55bhp with a 4-2-1 decat straight back and newman cams with extra little help from a bmc, you can do so much to these little cars for hardly nothing , well worth a second glimpse

I liked this car when i first bought it, its pretty quick and cheaper to run than most quick cars. Only recently have i started having problems with it! The engine seems to die at low revs, also when i first start it up, after about 5 minutes of driving it, it seems to struggle and feels like its going to stall. If i go slow enough it will ... I also have only had the car 2 months and wow. This is a great car, if you want a precise driving sensation then this car is perfect. Belt this thing round any corner at a good speed and you will feel the car stick like glue with brakes which stop you before you can say 'o crap' you will be laughing. The motor is strong ... I have owned my 106GTi for 2 months and it is very true what past reviews have said, that they are a tad unreliable. As soon as I took my 5 year old 1998 purchase from the dealership i have had a number of problems: 1. Hyperactive alarm system 2. Blown catalytic converter 3. Faulty drivers seat (worn runner) 4. Faulty rear screen ... Read the complete review

If you have read my car ops you will know I love my cars. I dont tend to hold onto them for long and therefore have plenty ot write about. During the reign of my primera, I also owned a little Peugeot.... I bought myself a new 106 GTi about 18 months ago which I have now sold. I did this because I bought a 205 GTi when they were ... I have had my 106 GTi for nearly a year now, from buying it new in May 2000, and every moment of using it have been fun. The way it handles is superb - the cassis talks to you it such a way that you always know what the car is going to do, even if you take a corner a little too fast! Yet if you tried this in any of its competition you ... Read the complete review

I am lucky enough to have a father that owns his own car business which means i have access to a lot of different cars. In a fit of stupidity, I bought myself a 94 'L' Cherry Red 106 Xsi, to carry me around my busy student schedule. Don't get me wrong, the 1.4 engine was fun for... ooh... 5 minutes, I even managed to ... Read the complete review

Introduction I bought a black 106 Rallye in August 1995. This was the 1.3 injection - 1294cc producing 100bhp @7,200 rpm and 80lbft of torque @5,000 rpm. It was to be a second car for my wife, as I already had a Renault 19 16V saloon (Mark 2) as a company car. The Rallye replaced a Citroen AX GT 500 - a very nice car that I had ... I've had a 106 Rallye for a year now, its a great car, but probably not everyones cup of tea! The 106 Rallye is a real drivers car. If your after a comfortable motorway cruiser, forget it! But, if your after something a little different and a great driving experience, you can try and track one down. The specification ... Read the complete review

I have test driven this super mini on a few occasions and after each time my desire to own one grows even further. It's a drivers dream. It's powerful 16 valve 1.6 L engine will leave many a car for dead. It scores so highly in all reviews - rated the second best handling car in the world by Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson - beaten ... I own a 206 GTi, but have a 106 GTi at home. Boy do I love to drive that car! My 206 is great, but there is something special about a 106 GTi. It is very quick and quite happy to rev freely. What I love about this car though is it's suspension. It is terribly involving (more so that the 206), but easy to drive at the same time. You feel ... Read the complete review

I've had a Peugeot 106 GTi for a month now and I am very pleased with it - extremely nippy, well-equipped, leather-seated, CD pushing out huge surges of noise over the rasping engine... like it. Two complaints - the clock is one of those nasty little digital ones that only lights up when the engine is running. What's wrong with a tiny ... Read the complete review
