My 106 is a 1.1 independence. Mine in particular is one of only a few without power steering, which puts most people off, but it means that the steering feels similar to that of a go-kart. Peugeot concentrate on handling and ride above all else. The suspension set up is superb and Peugeot manufacture their own components rather than out-sourcing. Consequently, their cars tend to be great fun with ample grip.
