Advantages: Small car, cheap to run

Disadvantages: Not the fastest

This review, like others is for the 3 door.

Earlier this year my Ford Ka died in spectaluar style and the cost of resusitationwas such that I thought sod it!! Buy a new car!! So with a knackered gear box in a sling I limped to the garage and had a little shifty. Now, I am not a typical male driver. I do not need speed or flashy cars. I have names for men with big cars and they are not really that nice. I look for small, practical and economical.

So I chose the bright yellow care with matching spoiler!!

It is three door so the back is quite tight for older children. I couldn't really care as I never sit in the back and I seldom have more than three in the car. Also it's a second car so the price played a big part.

I got a great deal on trade in and two weeks later drove home my little yellow car.

The car is surprisingly roomy in the front. i'm quite tall and need the seat back for my legs but there is plenty of head room. The dashborad is funky and smart, the rev counter is seperate in a circular shaped casing making it look a bit retro. There is no glovebox in this model just a shelf which does make the CD collection look a bit unsightly but I can live with that. Wing mirrors are sufficiently large that they provide excellent coverage from behind and they are also body coloured.

In terms of the back seat there is enough room for two small kids or one larger adult. Let's just say there's not much more you could get up to in there.

The boot is compact but again surprisingly big for the size of the car. You could not get a whole family shop in but then this is my seconf car. For one person or a couple it would be ideal. The spare is in the boot under the carpet not under the chasis so it is secure.

It terms of performance, as I said it is not the fastest. It performs best in town or about 65 miles an hour on the motorway although it will go faster.
A tank of petrol will cost arounf £35 and will get almost 400miles. Pretty good return. Road tax is £35 a year. So it's relatively cheap to run.

Obviously not all of these cars have a spoiler but I don't think I'd have got one without it. It just adds a little something to it.

CD stereo does what you need it to and is easy to use, as all all of the dashboard facilites.

I have customised my car a bit with fancy seat covers, window tatoo and so on. But that's all personal choice.

One last comment on colour. People underestimate yellow cars although there has been an increase in them lately. So to all you people who play the yellow car game, you know who you are.....................you can thank me later!!

Summary: small practical affordable. ideal..even in yellow
