I've had my K reg, 1-Litre, 205 'style' for 2 months and i'm quite chuffed with it. I've driven over 1000 miles but the car has done over 100,000 miles and still drives well. Indeed just today (the poor little mite) its driven up and down dale in Cheshire & Derbyshire.

My brother bought the car in Sept 2000 for £2500. It has broken down a few times, because of disconnected wires in the starter motor (?). Touch wood, so far, its been a trustworthy little car for me, and gets me from A to B.

The car is a bugger to get going with its manual choke and can be sluggish to begin. Once warmed up it perks up and is reasonably nippy for a 4 geared car. In my opinion the advantages are really confortable seats, five doors, a good heating system, roomy interior and a simple dash layout. Also the car is very resistant to rust, unlike other similar-aged small cars.

The major downfall of the car is the manual choke feature, and when shutting the door the car gives a less-than-satisfying clunk (it doesnt feel particularly secure).

Although not the most attractive car, it offers good value for money, holds its value well and is reliable. I would certainly recommend it for a first time buyers looking for a safe, trustworthy car. Remember looks and speed aren't everything!
