Advantages: Visually atractive and good on fuel.

Disadvantages: Some small design flaws.

I bought my X reg 206 a year ago and it's been my favourite car of my 4 car history including a peugeot 306, a ford ka and a toyota yaris.

The car is visually pleasing and much more contempory and modern looking today than other cars of it's age. The 306 looks like a tin can in comparison. It has smooth lines and is a rounder shape than other box type peugeots and the shape didn't change until 2006.

The 1.4 GLX is suprisingly snappy and although I don't know too much about cars, from experience it is much quicker excelerating than my other 1.4 cars which was the ford ka and the peugeot 306.

As with most peugeots they are available in eith 3 or 5 door, mine being a great family sized 5 door. The interior of my baby is a plush mint coloured fabric with a light grey dash. The seats are very confortable and fully adjustable. The boot is very large for a car of it's size and easily fits my pushchair and shopping at the same time.

The front windows are electrical but the rear ones aren't which is a shame, also the buttons for the windows are infront of the handbrake which makes it difficult if my husband is opening the windows whilst I'm trying put the handbrake on.

What I love about the GLX is that it is a very quiet car, I barely notice any noise at all and have to open the windows to hear the engine rev. I also love the fact that there is a shift stick attacthed to the steering wheel which controls the channels and volumn of the radio so I don't have to take my eyes off the road to change the channel.

The car has a 6 CD changer in the boot but I am yet to use it, but the sound quality of the radio is great.

The car is very reliable and I have only had to change the battery, it flew through the MOT, even at 9 years old. The car is also very good on petrol, I can fill the tank for £50.

Summary: A nippy little car with more space than you first imagine.
