I've had my Peugeot 206 GLX 1.6 for 18 months now, and it's been a great fun car to have. The car looks great - it looks more sporty than some of the so called "sports minis" like the Puma or Tigra. The GLX has a great specification ? air conditioning, 6 disc CD changer, rain sensing windscreen wipers and electric windows are all standard on the GLX.

The car motors around well, and is quite happy to zip around in town or on the motorway. Acceleration isn't the best though. Neither is fuel consumption. Not to say they're bad, but I noticed that my older 1.1 Fiesta did a better mpg.
Although going for the smaller 1.4 would probably help there.

It's not all perfect though - I'm not the greatest fan of the driving position. Now, I'm not quite 6 foot tall, but I need to have the seat lowered as far as it'll go and almost as far back as it'll go just go get my knees under the steering wheel. Also, the view from the rear view mirror is somewhat poor - I get a 60/40 view of tarmac when empty, and probably an 80/20 split when loaded. Perhaps it's just me, but I like to see more of what's behind me than the road just gone.

You can't see the front of the car either, so when parking it?s a bit more tricky judging distances.

The boot isn't the biggest in the world - of course - but it can fit in a reasonably sized suitcase easily, and the rear seats fold down should you need to.

All in all, I love the car - it's fun to drive, looks pretty good and is perfectly suited to a couple or a single person.
