Advantages: sleek design, Rally champs

Disadvantages: Annoying window wipers, Rubbish sound system

Its been about a month now, that we've (a family of 5) have had our pug 206. Its a greatly styled car and takes on the shape of the world rally championship car (well, almost). The styling is pretty cool, it has a nice grill in the front bonnet and looks quite smart. The car has great features too, namely, AC (air-conditioning), 6 CD-changer and quite a lot of boot space. The car also has the usual power steering and other features one may expect with a sort of newish car. The car we have is a red colour and was brought second hand and remains a W reg. If i have any piece of advice to offer anyone picking a car of this type its pick the colour carefully. Although black or silver probably suits the car most as any other colour makes the grill on the front bonnet stick out which resembles an imperfection on the front bonnet.

Inside the car is pretty smug. Its fairly small and does become fairly cramped with 5 people but with 4 people the car is fine. The seats are nice and comftable with the drivers seat able to change its torque (height), and forward / backwards positions. The dash board is smartly arranged and one thing you will notice when you first sit in the drivers seat is the size of the steering wheel. Its a fair bit smaller than most other steering wheels. Electronically the caar is quite sound, the wipers know how hard its raining and change their speed automatically. The CD / Tape / Radio player is all electronically driven and the mileage is also represented in electronic digits as well as the clock.

Due to the fuel effiency of such a model the insurance is of great value and if you opt for a diesel version then the insurance is even less as the car is greener than most other vehicles. As for petrol the car flies by on a minimal amount and the you could find the cost of travelling significantly reduced. The car drives finely and has a great acceleration potential. Although this is probably due to the lightness of the car. The driver a
nd passengers may be in for a bit of a bumpy ride with the firmed up suspension whic could make the faint-hearted a bit nauseas. Over long distances the car is a joy to drive and its fuel effeincy makes us more likely to take this small run-around than our big family saloon car.

Inside the car has only one light fixed to the ceiling which appears towards the front, so if its dark and your sitting at the back and you lose something, wait til mourning. The sound system presented with the car is not the greatest thing on earth. It can sound a little bit tinny at times and is pretty poor, in quality terms, however for the majority of us its probably sufficient.

The syling and the whole ego the car has makes this automobile a worthy investment and we have enjoyed travelling in this car. Its great to drive and is fuel efficient, what more can you ask for? A bit on the pricey side for what it is and a pretty naff sound system but as these are only minor faults i am going to award this car a 4/5.

A good op. Not a car I've driven, but friends with Peugeots tend to stick with them.
