Advantages: Great looks, speed, handling & equipment, amazing all round drive - the drive of your life

Disadvantages: Expensive to run and awkward to get spares for, although this a small price to pay

206 GTi 180..... what a vehicle. Its got it all really, great subtly agressive styling, sharp responsive handling & brakes, amazing power that pulls all the way upto the screaming redline and a soundtrack to match.

Couple all that with the equipment included such as climate control, ABS, switchable ESP / ASR traction control, auto head lights & auto wipers, 17" wheels, 288mm front discs (the biggest of the small peugeot brakes), thicker torsion bars & thicker anti-roll bars (than any other 206 including the GTi 138), great hugging alcantra bucket seats, electric folding mirrors, electrically heated mirrors, CD Player with 5 disc auto-changer in the glovebox, trip computer, etc, etc..... The list is almost endless.

The engine is a beefed up 2 litre 16 valve from the GTi 138 with a redesigned cylinder head with wilder cams & variable valve timing (VVT), improved intake & exhaust manifolds, sports CAT & better ECU which results in 180bhp.

The GTi 180 is available in black, blue, red or silver and looks the business in any of these.

The drive is unbelievable, the improvements over the GTi 138 plain to see & feel. OK it costs more to tax, run & insure but as soon as you mash the loud pedal in 2nd gear it all seems like money well spent.....
