I own a clapped out 206 (and it's red which makes things even worse!) It squeaks and when I drive it and is a terrible drive. The ineterior decor makes me feel sick when I look at it and it seems very uncomfortable compared to other cars. I Hate it! What I will say though in it's defence is that is really is the most reliable car in the world. I am not one of these people who get there car serviced every six thousand miles and constantly clean and top up with oil every weekend. These people are proud drivers who spend at least and hour washing and then another waxing and one more blow drying with a hardryer. No, I am one of these people whose only contact with ... We've just bought a new Y reg 1.4lx and although I haven't driven it much yet ( the missus needs it for work apparently ) I'm very impressed, it takes a lot for me to like cars. My car which I'm still trying to sell is brilliant. I've got my double bass speakers, amp and very expensive cd player. I used to drive out in it purely for a cruise. But now we've got our new car it is absolutely a fantastic car, it's got loads of features which are important. They may be petty to other people, but to me they all go towards the final sale. Central remote locking, electric windows, 2 airbags, airconditioning, cd player (which surprisingly for ... Read the complete review

We have recently purchased a W reg Peugeot 206 1.4 LX, it has a very sporty look and is very up-to-date. We purchased it for around £9000, we were going to buy a Renault Clio instead but opted for the Peugeot. Although at first i wasnt very keen on the grill at one side of the bonnet but i am used to it now and quite like it! I would recommend car buyers to llok at the 206 before making a final decision on another car! The insurance can be quite cheap also!, i am insured with CIS and it is only about £150 extra on top of rest of families. Get the 206!! ... Read the complete review

When buying a new car, safety is not always up there at the top of the list. My new 206 was fantastic - until an out-of-control van hit it head on. Crumple zones crumpled, air bag inlated, pyrotechnic seat-belt pre-tensioners went off. I was mostly unscathed - the car finished - but it did its job in protecting me. I did not hesitate in buying a new one (better one - with the CD changer). My biggest quibble with the car is the bizarre back-to-front windscreen wiper configuration which tends to flick water, snow into you rline of sight. A mild niggle though. ... I love this car. I bought it around 2 months ago. Its a 1999 V reg 5 door in black with 6 change cd player, electric windows, hugeeeee sunroof and leather seats with suede. It cost me £2800 which I thought was quite a baragin considering it was in beautiful condition and had the Lexus lights put in rather than the peugeot ones so makes it look bit more sporty. It also only had 60000 miles on the clock. The car itself drives really well and is extremely smooth on the pedals but quite sensitive and the steering is very smooth and sensitive too but I think this is probably because before i drove a peugeot 205 without power steering, so bit of a difference, lol. ...
