Advantages: Releiable

Disadvantages: Terrible car

I own a clapped out 206 (and it's red which makes things even worse!) It squeaks and when I drive it and is a terrible drive. The ineterior decor makes me feel sick when I look at it and it seems very uncomfortable compared to other cars. I Hate it! What I will say though in it's defence is that is really is the most reliable car in the world. I am not one of these people who get there car serviced every six thousand miles and constantly clean and top up with oil every weekend. These people are proud drivers who spend at least and hour washing and then another waxing and one more blow drying with a hardryer. No, I am one of these people whose only contact with their car is when I get in it and drive it. I rarely get it serviced and never wash it (thats what rain is for isn't it?) If my car was an animal somebody would have rung up the RSPCA Line a long time ago and I would be doing a ten stretch for cruelty.
So tell me this, How come when I took it to be M.O.T.'d the other day the only thing wrong with it was a faulty wiper blade. I was amazed. I had already saved a bit towards the cost as I knew it was going to be big and I was just handing my life savings over when the mechanic told me what the damage was. I nearly fell off my chair.
It was great I actually had some money in my pocket for a change, a car that was legal and a big smile on my face. I even went home and washed it.
Well done 206.

I have driven both early model and more recent 206s. They only get better! When we moved to Germany, our worldly goods came with us in a trailer behind my little blue pug. Admittedly, the engine is 2.0ltr, but I had 'hardened caravanners' stopping me to ask if my car could manage! They backed off when we overtook their overloaded granada's on the Autoroutes with out so much as a wriggle or a pant!

Hope your pug keeps on going for a long while yet!!

Since when did your 205 move up a gear to 206?
