I've recently bought a 306 GTI 6 having previously owned a 106 Rallye. I wasn't dead set on owning a 306 GTI, infact I tried most of the obvious competition out - Renault Clio 172 Sport, Honda Integra Type R, 206 GTI, Puma 1.7 etc. When it came to the crunch, the 306 fitted the bill the best. I'm not the only one to think this, check out the definitive GTI review in EVO magazine, this heads 15 GTIs together, the winner being the 306 GTI.
