I may have to agree on this one as after checking a price of a 96P (old shape) out on Parkers Guide and found it was about £1700 less than the asking price. I was curious to know what the equivalent details would be worth as a new shape (ie 97P). Although you would have thought there would be some penalising for higher mileage, the difference...more

I am in the process of trying to buy a used 306. Having been impressed by the performance of my dad's one (93L XTDT - now my sister's) even with it having over 160,000 miles on the clock, I'm in no doubt as to go for a Turbo Diesel as feel these have the best value for money in the 306 range. LAST WEEKEND MY COMPANY HIRED ME A 306. AT FISRT WHAT A SURPRISE AS I DIDN'T THINK I WOULD GET A SMART CAR. THE STYLING IS TERRIFIC AN ABSOLUTE STUNNER INSIDE HAS A NICE FEW TOUCHES. VERY COMFORTABLE EVERYTHING WITHIN REACH, THE MAIN EQUITMENT THAT STANDS OUT WERE THE AIR CONDITON A NICE TOUCH AND THE GADGET OF CHANGING THE RADIO STATIONS AND VOLUME FROM THE STEERING WHEEL. THE MAIN HANDLING OF THE CAR IS GOOD NO PROBLEMS THERE ALTHOUGH THE POWER OF THE ENGINE COULD BE MORE AS I REACHED 80 MPH ON THE MOTORWAY AND I WAS STRUGGLING FOR MORE POWER. FOR THE FAMILY AN ECONOICAL CAR WITH ENOUGH SPACE FOR 2 ADULTS AND 2 TO 3 KIDS GOOD LEG ROOM .PARTS FOR THIS CAR MUST BE ...  Read the complete review

I've recently returned from holidaying in Ireland and i hired a car to travel about in. The car i ended up with was a nippy little Peugeot 306 - and i couldn't have wished for a better motor. It was fast, economical and comfortable; handled superbly and now i'm in love and i want one! Combined with electric windows and a trendy interior with leather trim, what more could a girl ask for in life? The stereo was cool with a little lever on the steering column to enable easy volume control. It was very economical on petrol and on a full tank, did about 450 miles and even then it wasn't in the empty zone. So yes you've obviously guessed what my ...  Read the complete review
