I acquired a peugeot 307 2.0hdi xsi 6 months ago. 2nd hand. I have not had a brilliant experience, first off electrics played up and I had trouble starting the car, it needed a new battery, fine only 3 1/2 years old. two weeks later the starter motor went £200 later then it needed a new back box.
now the good points the 2.0 hdi is economical averages 45mpg very spacious inside, my son is nearly 6 foot tall and is comfortable sitting in the back. With this model you get 17 inch alloys, half leatherseats, leather steering wheel, electric windows all round, cruise control, cassette player with 5 cd player under neath. air con plus glove box folding mirrors and a 6 speed gearbox and esp.
The engine is responsive thanks to being 16valve the handling is quite good with the right tyres it is a comfortable ride. For driving experience i would recommend it. but for the tecnical glitches ie electric i would not. I know other pug owners who also have had electric problems which can be very expensive.
