Advantages: Good condition,little rust

Disadvantages: Heavy steering

My second car, a Peugeot 309 I have had a short time, but am well pleased with. It,s a 1987 "D" model, in white with only 2 owners. As neither of them used it much it has a genuine 68,000 miles on the clock.

Must admit that when we went to open the bonnet, when I had bought it, no-one could find the bonnet switch to open it!Eventually found it near the front passenger seat door, but does seem a strange place to put it.

For a reasonably small car the steering is a bit heavy and would have preferred power steering.Apart from that, I am quite pleased, as there is no rust, and bodywork is in good condition, not sure of economy yet as I have not driven that far.

The majority of 309's were sold on the continent, in left hand drive form. The Bonnet realease is on the passenger side because they didn't re-design it for the Right Hand drive market.

I have a friend with an '89 G 309, which recently failed it's MOT for being a pile of rust. Consider yourself lucky to have a 1987 model which still moves!!
