I have just bought a Peugot 406 Executive saloon. I love the interior of this car, as there are loads of buttons to play with such as climate control, electric seats, cd changer. I find it very comfortable to drive, and it handles a little better than the 406 estate. The added advantage is the turbo, which gives it a bit more pickup, but this turbo gives the car just the right amount of power to be responsive, but not so much power that you can lose control easily. This car has been well finished inside and outside. I paid £2400 privately for this car and i think I got a bargain. it has done 78000miles and is in excellent condition. Expect to pay between £2300 and £3000 for this model of car.
During the recent heavy rain and floods I have noticed what looks like a problem with the Peugeot 406. My son's car was a write off after he was caught in a flash flood. The electrics were irrepairable. The model: Peugeot 406. Shortly after this we were driving through the Lake District in very heavy rain and spotted three Peugeot 406's broken down at the road side in different locations. We stopped to offer help as the area is very remote and the weather was worsening. The problem with all three was water in the electrics. Sounds like a problem to watch out for if you drive a Peugeot 406.
