I have had my Peugeot 406 for about 6 months and so far I'm really pleased with how it runs. I have driven the 90 bhp version and always found it to be underpowered, so when the opertunity came for me to buy a 110 bhp I jumped at the chance. I have had a few problems with it and I've needed to get the clutched changed, but spending £300 a year on a car with over 100000 miles I feel is to be expected. There is lots of room for driver, 4 passengers with lots of baggage space. I occassionally use my car for towing a trailer and it's always up to the job. Another good feature that isn't mentioned much is the option to turn off the ... Read the complete review

I have had my Peugeot 406 for 3 months now and for the first time I have found a car that I really like.the 1800cc lx engine is very good and reliable, it is a very smooth ride and handles the road very good.there is plenty of room inside the car with adjustable seats that can be adjusted in height.the steering wheel is also adjustable to suit your needs.it has air conditioning but when you have it on it will use more petrol.the instrument panel is laid out very well, and the inside is very good.it does about 43 miles to a litre around town.there is plenty of boot space, and you can make extra space if needed by pulling down the rear seats.it seats five people.the ... I had no option of what car I could have, being a company car driver but I can safely say that I have not been dissapointed with my Peugeot 406.I have had my Peugeot for two and a half years now and I have had no breakdowns at all. It has a regular service by a Peugeot dealer. The only major problem I did have was with the clutch. It did not cause a breakdown but I thought it was getting rather "heavy". I started getting knee pains because of the effort I was putiing on the clutch. The garage replaced it and it was great for about two months, now its back to its old self! One regretable thing about the car is that it has no CD player. It is an "S" ... Read the complete review

I have recently brought a 406 and can honestly say it's the best car I have ever owned! It drives superb and am a big lad so I need plenty of room...no problem with the 406. A large boot space with folding down seats means a saloon with the versitality of a hatch! A "rocking" sound system as standard, and it's really quiet not alot of engine noise and virtually no road noise at all. To be honest I took some convincing but because I work in the Midlands with a lot of lads from Coventry (home of Peugeot uk) thought I'd risk buying one and really glad I did! ... This car was one of the best in its class, I used the car daily and put over 38000 miles on it per year, I have now sold the vehicle and the miles were mostly trouble free! The air conditioning pump packed in at the end hastening the decision to sell it. But the car was very good for its age; boot space was not what I originally expected but was big enough for my use. The car handles superbly especially after I replaced the Michelin Energy 195/65/15 tyres with Michelin Pilots 195/50/15. But all in all the car was good and I would have another one, possibly an estate! ... Read the complete review
