I have had my Peugeot 406 for about 6 months and so far I'm really pleased with how it runs. I have driven the 90 bhp version and always found it to be underpowered, so when the opertunity came for me to buy a 110 bhp I jumped at the chance. I have had a few problems with it and I've needed to get the clutched changed, but spending £300 a year on a car with over 100000 miles I feel is to be expected. There is lots of room for driver, 4 passengers with lots of baggage space. I occassionally use my car for towing a trailer and it's always up to the job. I have recently brought a 406 and can honestly say it's the best car I have ever owned! It drives superb and am a big lad so I need plenty of room...no problem with the 406. A large boot space with folding down seats means a saloon with the versitality of a hatch! A "rocking" sound system as standard, and it's really quiet not alot of engine noise and virtually no road noise at all. This car was one of the best in its class, I used the car daily and put over 38000 miles on it per year, I have now sold the vehicle and the miles were mostly trouble free! The air conditioning pump packed in at the end hastening the decision to sell it. But the car was very good for its age; boot space was not what I originally expected but was big enough for my use. The car handles superbly especially after I replaced the Michelin Energy 195/65/15 tyres with Michelin Pilots 195/50/15.
