Advantages: Unlimited power, Looks

Disadvantages: Price, Spoiler

Of the 3 Porsches I have driven, this has to be the most mad.
The reason being that it is not only quick, but it has that extra power under your right foot when you give it a little squirt.

When a acar has a turbo on board, it makes such a difference at mid range speed, as the Turbo cuts in.
The problem is its not initially quick because of Turbo lag.
This is basically non existent in the Porsche.
Its just pure power from the outset.
This is because its a twin turbo with varying rates of cut in.

This beast really throws you in your seat.

The Body is a standard Porsche body with a "Whale Tail" spoiler on the back that ensures the rear wheels stay where they should under speeds.

The gear box comes with 3 options, Automatic, Standare and tiptonic. Go for the latter if you can afford it. It gives you the feeling its a real race car.

In fact, Porsche were one of the first to experiment with Turbo powered engines.
They evolved and did their research with the MaClaren Formula 1 team in the early and mid 80's. Winning many races and a few championships before being outlawed in the sport.

They made the successful transition to the road and soon appeared in cheaper marques such as Ford and Audi.
In fact Renault were one of the main pioneers.

Still Porsche were the only ones to have true success at a higher level.

As far as racing goes , the 911 Turbo is ideal for certain racing on closed circuits and is has many of its own championships and race meetings around the world.

Internally, the Porsche is essentially a 2 seater. There is a back seat but its not even worth trying to sit on. Its more of a parcel shelf.

The interiors are normally Leather upholstered with their unusually high backed seats with rounded all in one head rests that form part of the seat.
They are more like bucket seats which you need to hold you in.

The instrumenta
tion panel is minimalist to say the least but it is a racer rather than a family saloon.
Luggage space is not huge so dont expect to be doing lots of carrying.

Use it for what it was built for. Posing and speed.

My one critism for the car is the Price.
At £73,500 its nearly 10,000 more than the Carrera's. Oh, and you dont get the nice lift up spoiler.

Most Porsches will go on and on. Its not an everyday car is it? You only use it for special occasions. Its an expensive toy so age is not a problem
