I bought an ex Persona taxi (proton changed names to Wira in 1999) from a motor auction with 193000 miles on the clock for only £500 on an L 1994 plate.It had 6 months mot remaining with the car.The body work itself was dull but soon polished up well with some G3 paint restorer, but apart from that showed no signed of the mileage on the body, apart from holes in the bumper where the taxi plates had been. The interior had to be replaced, as did the window winders.They run on wires and easy snap(commmon fault).I replaced the engine early on because of the high mileage I didnot trust it, plus I managed to get an engine out of an MPI proton for only £100 with only ...
