Premium Review Renault 25: supercharged sofa on wheels (184 words)

Rating:

Now in 2002 this car is a bit of a relic, but if you can find a well maintaned example with little miles, this car will last well into the 200,000 miles mark. I first obtained the car six years ago with 60,000 on the clock. The main reason i purchased it was the excellent comfort inside and the different features like the radio controls on the steering wheel columum. the car itself is built like a tank and i experienced very little if any rust om the body, but all this extra weight made the car extreamly heavy. Premium Review Smooth drive-but be careful (302 words)

I had always liked the Renault 25, and so bought one 3 years ago. It was a 2.0 TX 5 speed model. Firstly, I found it to be the most comfortable car I've ever sat in. Fuel consumption was surprisingly good, too, managing 25-30 mpg round town, and about 35-40 mpg on a run. It's well equipped too with electric windows and sunroof on basic models, and electric everything on the V6 and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Renault 25: A Real "Cruising" Car  (483 words)
by - written on 13/12/00 (Very useful, 314 readings)
Rating:

The Renault 25 was the predecessor to the "Safrane", and went out of production around 1992/3. It was an extremely popular car in France (for obvious reasons) and on the Continent, but never really "caught on" in the U.K. and Ireland. So popular was it in France, in fact, that for nearly its whole lifespan it consistently topped the polls in the luxury car bracket. I bought a 1986 model of the 25 in 1989, with some 70,000 miles on the clock, and one previous owner. I ran it virtually trouble free for over 4 years, and when I eventually traded it in, I had put the speedo up to 220,000 miles. In my opinion, this was/is a very ...  Read the complete review
