Advantages: Cheap to run, Cute, Did I mention cheap?

Disadvantages: mine doesn't have an electric pack

We have had our little Clio 1.2 Grande for about 18 months now, and I must say both my husband and myself think it is fantastic.
We bought it second hand from a dealership at a cost of £4000 (3 year old at time)
We wanted something cheaper to run as our other car (Rover 400, 2000 reg plate) ate petrol like Homer Simpson with beer.
It certainly is very cheap and reliable to run. We have had no problems what so ever. The road tax is only £66 for 6months and our insurance, fully comp with 2 drivers and business class tagged on is £270 per year, bargain!
The petrol consumption is very good. We get between 270 and 300 miles to a tank full (approx £28).
The car is very comfortable to drive and very nippy, when in the fast lane on the motorway in top gear it doesn't sound or feel like something is going to blow up, or that you need to change up a gear. Considering my particular car doesn't have power steering, I find it very easy to park - even though I am only a woman(!)
It corners very well and I have heard that sometimes when the air con is on it effects the acceleration, well not on mine it doesn't.
The driving position is good - I am only 5 foot 1, my husband is 8 inch taller and we both drive it comfortably. The steering wheel is adjustable also, a lever on the steering column so that it can be move higher or lower.
We have a very steep road in our town that a lot of cars seem to struggle to get up. Not my Clio, she glides up there as if on a downward slope, no problems at all.
Mine is a two door model, a fact that I was rather concerned with initially as I have two small children, but it isn't as bad as I thought it would be. There is plenty of room to get the kids in and out. The boot is also quite spacious. I manage to get my buggy and a full weekly shop in there with no problems what so ever.
Overall I think our little Clio is great. It looks good, it drives good and its cheap, what more could anyone ask for
?

It sounds very good, I'm learning to drive at the moment so this is handy for me to know about, I will be looking for a small car when I pass.
