Advantages: Excellent value for money, Good Customer Service, Great set of features

Disadvantages: First issue (51 reg) was a little flaky

Both myself and my wife have the Clio Dynamic 1.4.

My wifes is 6 months older than mine and was one of the first with the new engine an body (reg 51) and has had a few problems ... which the garage have fixed no argument.

Mine is 6 months newer (reg 02) and is has had hardly any problems.

I think that for the features on a small car you'd find it hard to beat. A good way of getting the cheapest deal is decide what you want and then fax as many dealers that you can get numbers for telling them what you have to trade. Then just sit back and let them ring you back with offers.

I saved about £1000 by doing this.

A nice thing about Renault at the moment is that they are giving 3 year warrentee on thier cars. This means that I have been able to know pretty much exactly what it is going to cost to run the car for the first 3 years. (And as I replace mine and my wifes cars every 3 years, its very useful).

The 18000 mile / 2 year service interval is very nice as well, means that with the number of miles that we do we get them services after 1.5 years, and the service wasn't hugely expensive either (about £150 I think).

Renault never seem to disappoing me with their customer service either, I can't recall being called sir so many times in a 2 minute conversation, and they do get problems resolved.

As for fuel economy, it seems to vary between 43mpg (51 reg) and 47mpg (02 reg), but this might be the way my wife and I drive. The interior is solid (but as you would expect, plastic features heavily) the only rattle that I have had so far is from the CDs I put in the glovebox.
