Advantages: Reliable, economical and good to drive.

Disadvantages: Looks a little dated now?

My wife owned this model from January 2003 when she purchased a new one on the Renault options scheme, you know the knid of thing nice low monthly payments and then a lump su at the end, hand it back or use it to trade in against a new car.

We plumpedfor the Renault because my wife loved the shape, she thought it was quite a funky little car at the time and it was well enough equipped, with electric windows, CD player and air condiyioning etc.

It drove extrememly well and the Diesel engine returned ridiculous fuel economy, well into the 50 mpg, quite often 60 mpg plus!

It was comfortable to drive and also be a passenger in and would sit all day on the motorway at 70 mph without a problem.

The car was incredibly reliable althoought o be fair you would expect it to be as it was bought from new.

The only problem we experienced was a recall for the power steering pump which was sorted very quickly. Other than this we had no problems in 3 years of ownership.

My wife would have undoubtedly had another but she got a job which gave her a company car so after 3 years we handed the Clio back.

If you want a small economical car and come across one of these second hand give it serious consideration.

Summary: One of the best little cars out there, check it oout if you want a little rinabout.
