Advantages: Lovely to drive, smart looking and not too expensive to buy

Disadvantages: Expensive to repair the electrics

I bought my Renault Laguna Dynamique three months ago for £2,000. It is a 1.9dci on a 52 reg. I did get a good deal on it when I bought it as it is the best one in the range.

The things that it benefits from are:
Front And Rear Electric Windows
Front And Rear Fog Lights
Electric Mirrors
Rear Spoiler
6 Speed Gearbox
120 BHP
17 inch Alloy Wheels
Air Conditioning
Part Leather Interior
Fingertip Remote Control For Cd Player
Remote Central locking With keyless Card

I think that the design of the car is lovely, it has been well made and various different air bags for added safety.

I would say that I get approx 55mpg (which compared to my last car, Vauxhall Vectra 2.5 V6 it is great).

The front seats are very comfortable as they are sports seats but I have also sat in the back a few times and they are also comfortable.

It is a very quiet drive. It reaches 0-60 in approx 10 seconds.

Unfortunately I have got a problem with my electrics at the moment and it looks like it is going to be very expensive for me. So far my bill is up to £700 and it has only been in three days.

Since it has been in for repair I have heard alot of bad reports about the electrics on these cars (shame noone told me before I bought it).

There are known problems with the keyless cards and I have been informed that a new card will cost £150, however I am aware that there are websites where you can send them away for repair for much less. I dont really think it was their best idea when they invented these. They have a hole in them which I though was to attach it to my keyring which I did. I then tried to put it into the hole and realised that it was the end with the keyring on that went in. Therefore I can not attach it to anything and I have a habit of loosing it.

I do love my car and hopefully will get it back soon but maybe I should be looking into part exchanging it for something more reliable

Summary: Make sure you have money put aside for repairs if you are thinking of buying one of these
