The Laguna Diesel (Renault Laguna in general)
Member Name: big_t
Advantages: running costs, comfort, electric package Disadvantages: size
I chose the diesel Renault Laguna to hopefully cut my fuel costs drastically. I travel 28 miles a day to and from work and it was getting expensive! I have been very happy with the fuel economy, up wards of 45 miles to the gallon. The ride is very comfortable and quiet, the sound system is brilliant, loud and with a column remote control. The car is spacious, my girlfriend is quite tall and she has plenty of head room. There are electric front windows and sunroof, and a good electronic centre display for time, temp, radio. Even the dash is partly digital, telling you the oil level each time you switch on. The old noisy diesel is not this car, this one is as, if not more responsive than many of its petrol companions. If the car you want is a family saloon with lots of electrics and comfort, then this could well be the car for you. Mine is a 97 R, and it cost me 5000 pounds, with a full service history. Just a word about servicing, the costs at Renault main dealers can be 50 pounds and hour labour, so not the cheapest car to service. But with all that said I am saving nearly half the monthly payments in fuel cost alone. Summary: |
