Advantages: Comfortable, Affordable, Economical
Disadvantages: Key Card - Battery. Electics Failing.
This is only my second car - bought new from a Renault dealer.
Megane Rush DC1 1.5
The car itself is very pleasant and lovely to drive. This price is not to high - new it was about £10,000. Its greatest assett is perhaps its economical value - the diesel i have does about 45-50mpg. An accurate figure as there is an onboard computer that tells you exactly that. Boot size is good - back seat room is excellent and the little gizmos i find particularly usefull - hands free radio control, hands free starter and there are more if you want them.
I have however encountered some problems since having the vehicle -
1. The key card which you insert to start has failed - this meant i could not start the car - luckily i was at home at the time.
2. The electric window on the driver side leaked in water which resulted in a fault - the fault resulted in the window opening when parked - i did not realise this till i returned to my car some six hours after parking - luckily nothing was missing.
On both occassions the car had to be taken back to the main dealer - this was covered by warranty. However the cost of me getting to the dealer to pick it up was not ( dealer is some 30 miles form me) this was slightly annoying and there was no curtosy car available either.
Overall i would not say i am unhappy with the car - but i have got some reservation for my next purchase.
Summary: Happy - but could be happier.
