renault megane rush 1.4 ... dont rush to buy one thats for sure (Renault Megane in general)

Advantages: comfortable to drive but thats it

i bought a 2nd hand renault megane rush in jan 2007. only 2 years old with one years warranty left on it - i bought it for 6500 i thought i had a good deal.... boy was i wrong - within the first week i noticed a damp smell, the car was letting in water, my handbrake was rusty, the noise that came out fo the engine when it started was like a horse on heat!so here i go back to straight back to the dealers who had been so lovely the week before as a signed my cheque and handed it over to the sales guy who was drooling for the money - practically had to fight to get a courtesy car...mental note do not shop with charles hurst|!!!!

ok few more months down the line critical warning light came on - the fuel injector wasnt working - back to garage again - on this occasion the young guy i was checking my car in to get fixed with said that he wouldnt touch meganes with a barge pole!!! hmm lovely vote of confidence there for me as a customer...
finally last week was the last straw - my car started shuddering like a tractor - some spring thing or other had came off the car - so ive took it back got it fixed AGAIN!! I HAVE GONE OUT THIS MORNING ... to a different dealer i hastent to add...AND TRADED IT IN FOR A LOVELY PEUGOT 207....

plus during this year on speaking to colleagues i dont think anyone has heard a good word about renault meganes... the new shape... word of warning do not be tempted to shake that ass.... go for a different car... if i hadnt had my years warranty i would have been out a clean fortune!!!! goodluck and good bye xxx
