Advantages: low running costs, nice to drive

Disadvantages: few niggles but nothing serious

I had a 2003 Megane Dymanique 1.5DCi that I bought in 2006. It had 29,000 miles on the clock and I kept it until last week (changed to a peugeot 308). I couldn't fault the megane, except for a few small things, for the 3 years I had it. The only thing that went wrong was an electric window regulator in the passenger side window. As I'd bought from a main dealer this was fixed under the one year warranty I got. The only other thing was my car had 17" alloys and I found it was quite hard on tyres, especially if you put budget tyres on.
Sometimes the gears would be hard to select but a local mechanic soaked the gear selector box with waste oil and this seemed to cure it.
In real terms the car was doing 57mpg, which was fantastic, and the road tax was only £35 - bargain. I sold the megane to my brother in law so fingers crossed it keeps behaving but I'm sure it will.
