Advantages: Great specs and performance

Disadvantages: Bad driving position, and lacking practacality

I bought a Megane 16v 2.0 Coupe, after my previous Audi A3 1.8Turbo, and so it certainly had a lot to live up to. Most of which fortunately it has done. But, it certanly is a mixed bag of things....

Firstly, the coupe's spec and performance was so good for the money and size that it was a big surprise. It is extremely quick, has great torque, and is fully loaded with electric windows, mirrors, sunroof, etc, and air conditioning, cat 1 alarm, etc.. So good start!

When you sit in it however, you realise that the driving position is a little off, it's too high up for starters which after an Audi's excellent position, it is hard to get used to. If like me you are 6'3 then it can be frustating at times, when your head is almost on the ceiling....

I have also had it serviced and needed a part replacing, and it certainly is an expensive car to maintain, against Vauxhalls I have had in the past, it easily costs double to have things done to it.

However, as an overall car, it is extremely good value for money, mine on an R was only 7.5k, and for that you get lots! One note however, is that you need a car with rear seats then steer clear!
