Rating:

Having always owned volkswagen cars i was really surprised that i liked the renault megane in the showroom. It has some great gadgets which as a great bonus, such as Air con, stereo controls on steering wheel, electric windows and mirrors. The information panel on dashboard is excellent telling you everything from petrol consumption to oil ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Renault Megane - great for small drivers! (222 words)
by - written on 07/10/09 (Useful, 81 readings)
Rating:

I have just been reading the reviews of the Megane and noted that someone has explained they don't feel it is great for tall people. I am tiny (5 foot!) and share a Megane with my partner (6 foot tall!) and we both agree that it is perfect! Being so small, I struggle sometimes to find a car which I am really comfortable driving. Until ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Renault Megane in general: Renault Megane 1.6 VVT Dynaminque (166 words)
by - written on 28/09/09 (Useful, 105 readings)

As a relative car novice, i bought my Renault Megane on the look of the car alone. Of course i done a little bit of research before purchasing, but in reality i was just hoping I would find nothing major wrong to put me off. I went for a 2003 1.6 VVT Dynamique. Overall, I am pretty happy with my purchase. I guess you could say that the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Megane Saloon Review (269 words)
by - written on 13/09/09 (Useful, 66 readings)

I have a 54 saloon dynamique, bought 12 months from new. It is my second Megane and I am undecided whether it will be my last. I started buying Megane saloons simply for practicality. It has the largest size boot for a reasonably small size of car, without cutting into space within the back seats and as my wife is only 5' tall and we had a ...  Read the complete review

at first this car was great, i bought it when it was just under a year old (its an '04 plate), and had no problems with it. i thought it was stylish (i like its derriere but i think its a marmite thing that you either hate it or love it). i also liked the card key and the 'aeroplane' like handbrake (i know it probably has a technical name but i ...  Read the complete review

The Va Va VOOM has gone Va Va BOOM! (368 words)

I would love to be able to agree with many other owners and say that the megane is a good all round family car, however for me it really has been the most problematic car i have ever owned. Maybe i have been unlucky with mine which seems to have ALL the "common" faults. The car itself is an 04 plate, 1.6 VVT Dynamique, 5 dr ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Renault Megane in general: Renault Megane (261 words)

I Bought my Renault Megane as a brand new car, it was a Renault Megane 1.6 Dynamique, which I also upgraded to the full leather interior. I don't have many complaints about the Megane at all, and when I first had it, lots of friends and family were amazed at some of the latest gadgets that it had in it, which were not around on many other cars at ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review 2003 megane 1.5DCi (169 words)
by - written on 14/05/09 (Somewhat useful, 193 readings)
Rating:

I had a 2003 Megane Dymanique 1.5DCi that I bought in 2006. It had 29,000 miles on the clock and I kept it until last week (changed to a peugeot 308). I couldn't fault the megane, except for a few small things, for the 3 years I had it. The only thing that went wrong was an electric window regulator in the passenger side window. As I'd bought ...  Read the complete review

I bought my 2.0l megane dynamique (2004) in 2006 and still miss it now. There were plenty of good and bad things about the car but overall it gave me a very happy year of motoring. Firstly the looks. They are not to everyones taste I agree but I liked them very much and it made a nice change on the roads from the run of the mill Ford ...  Read the complete review

I bought a Renault Megane DCi because of its low fuel consumption and relative comfort (I do up to 35 k per year. most of it on the mortorway). unfortunately i am not very impressed with reliabilty and I have had a long list of problems with the car. most of these were frustating (I need the car everyday and it seems impossible to get a courtesy ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Renault Megane in general: Bought New (260 words)

This is only my second car - bought new from a Renault dealer. Megane Rush DC1 1.5 The car itself is very pleasant and lovely to drive. This price is not to high - new it was about £10,000. Its greatest assett is perhaps its economical value - the diesel i have does about 45-50mpg. An accurate figure as there is an onboard computer that ...  Read the complete review

I am on my 4th car in 4 years, I'm not the kind of person who has to change their car for fear of it getting old, my circumstances have changed and that has necessitated a change in vehicle for me. My car history started with a clapped out Citroen ZX, progressed to a Fiat Punto which I loved, from then I had a Ford Focus (hated it, most rubbish ...  Read the complete review

I run my own driving school in North Wales, since I took delivery in July 2002 in Stockport my Megane Fidji 1.4 has covered 13,000 miles of which 85% has been with learners behind the wheel. Premium Review Renault Megane in general: under-rated megane doesnt like tall people (931 words)

I own a 5 door 1.6 16v Megane Sport. Unlike many commentators I think the chrome radiator finish suits the car well epecially in blue and a fairly discreet spoiler compliments the smooth organic shape. I do find that at only 5'10" there is not enough headroom if i sit up properly in the front or back. This is a shameful design flaw in a ...  Read the complete review

It does have its annoying 'characteristics'. We bought a Megane as I had seen the advertising that it was the safest in its class and as we were at the planning a family stage and having previously owned a 19 which was my bestest car ever I was sold on the idea. The car does have a comfortable ride, good on mpg, sharp ...  Read the complete review

megane-sport alize 1.6 (186 words)

The Renault Megane is probably one of the widest appealing cars on the road today. It combines the inside luxury of a large executive car, but is the size of a family, hatchback car, yet has the looks of a sports car. It's all rolled into one great package. The particular model I have, the 'Megane Sport Alize 1.6 16V' is probably ...  Read the complete review
