Advantages: Internal space, Kid friendly, off road use
Disadvantages: none
After trawling all the brouchers I could find on SUV's (sports utility vehicles) I could find little information about the RX4 even a visit to my local dealer was no help at all. They did not even know of one in the area I could look at. So after picking up the national newspaper and seeing an sdvert from trade-sales.co.uk the family and I decided to go and take a look. when we got there the place was heaving with customers all looking for a good deal, after walking through a mass of cars at excellent prices we came across three RX4's. They all had diffrent specifications (Monaco all leather interior twin sunroofs ect)my kids fell in love straight away with my green alize sport to quote, "its that big in the back we can play football" and the visibility for youngsters in the rear is excellent. due the higher posture (more ground clearance than a freelander) and big windows they can actually see where we are going, unlike many cars where the are put into the equvilent of a cardboard box with little slots of light to look out from. Besides the excellent view for the kids it comes with extra power sockets in the rear to plug in those gameboys ect and the middle seat drops down to make a table for those travel games or a bit of colouring in. There is also no need to worry about those spilt drinks on the carpet and trim as there are also aircraft type tables fitted to the rear of the front passenger seats. The car has also got all the extra storage areas of the normal scienic plus the excellent constant four wheel drive with traction control as standard. The model I purchased did not have electric sunroofs fitted as it had already got climate control and we thought that they were not needed. in the front it has a coolbox to chill those drinks for summer days and a very good quality cd player with six speakers. The boot is quite big and this also has an extra power supply if you wish to get one of those little fridges there is
no comprimise of the boot area for the spare wheel as this is mounted securly onto the split rear door. Performance is good and it holds the road well around corners while the fuel consumption very good and there is very little in the mpg to the previous 2.0 saloon I previosley owened. GET ONE NOW great car great drive great family favourite.
