Renault Scenic 1.6i ... car doesn't seem to have the largest thirst. On average it will drive 11km per liter. The car handles on normal asphalt but when it comes too little off road work the car gets into some trouble. The engine is fairly loud when driving up the mountain and going along the highway and it gets louder when you turn the air-conditioning on, the air-conditioning takes nearly 20% of all power of the engine so it is a big disadvantage. The service on the Renault is pretty good comparing it to the other car garages. If something breaks down you can go to the garage the same day or the next and when they say "you can pick up your car tonight" the car is ready by then.... Renault Megane 16v 1.4 Coupé ... looking car with plenty to keep the driver happy inside, extreamly nice looking and turns heads in most places, i find a nice after market set of bigger wheels suit the car, no nonsense modifications needed otherwise, faults i find is shaky gear stick which can be very annoying and little cramp inside, but overall great car , great looking and excellent on fuel and insurance so very affordable for the younger driver, so good buy and best in model range for tax and insurance purpose and remember fuel costs...... Renault Megane in general ... to the dealers who had been so lovely the week before as a signed my cheque and handed it over to the sales guy who was drooling for the money - practically had to fight to get a courtesy car...mental note do not shop with charles hurst|!!!! ok few more months down the line critical warning light came on - the fuel injector wasnt working - back to garage again - on this occasion the young guy i was checking my car in to get fixed with said that he wouldnt touch meganes with a barge pole!!! hmm lovely vote of confidence there for me as a customer... finally last week was the last straw - my car started shuddering like a tractor - some spring thing or other had came off ...
