A good way of getting the cheapest deal is decide what you want and then fax as many dealers that you can get numbers for telling them what you have to trade. Then just sit back and let them ring you back with offers. I saved about £1000 by doing this. A nice thing about Renault at the moment is that they are giving 3 year warrentee on thier cars. This means that I have been able to know pretty much exactly what it is going to cost to run the car for the first 3 years. (And as I replace mine and my wifes cars every 3 years, its very useful). 	Renault 19 ... bought my GTX back in July 2001, it was my second car, and cost me £600(108k miles). Sold for £500 October 2002(116k miles). Silver in colour, paint work in good condition generally, but where it had gone bad was on the front of the bonnet, since it had no plastic grille, the stone had chipped the front of the bonnet and this had started to crack and peel. Also someone had made a botched attempt at repairing stone chips else where, so this had stated to rust, but it was surface only since it came straight off. Good engine, quite solid (Volvo use them), except top radiator hose burst, and the vacuum pump fell off the back of the carbourettor, simple that was just a jubi... 	Renault Clio 1.6 16V 3-door ... the version I have is the 1.6 16v Dynamique. I have had the car for just over 2 weeks now, and I am extremely pleased with it! (The picture shown is the old model) I have started learning to drive a few months ago, and I needed a car so I could practise in and use when I pass my test! I looked around many cars, but the ones that stuck out the most were the VW Golf and the Peugeot 206/307 models. However, I chose the Clio because of the great spec. As standard, the Dynamique has sooooo many features, some you don't even find in luxury cars, such as automatic lights when it gets dark, and auto wipers etc. The car comes with ABS, air con, 15" alloy...
