Advantages: value for money, great drive
Disadvantages: warranty is not clear
Rovers 25 are one of the most powerful unit cars around. First of all for a company that was going bust and then came right back in a shooting style to release such a car, was quite an achievement. First impressions are really good as the new design of the bodywork give you a positive look. So when your driving this car around you will defiantly get people heads turning. Well since I've got my car right from the beginning I've been getting stair left, right and front. The interior is lovely as it has a smooth bubble look to the dashboard and seat feel so nice when you sit in. I got the IS version and on a cheap deal as I got the entire extra for nothing. The extra features that I've got which don't come as standard model was heat mirror, ABS, sport interior, rear arm rest, cd player, tweeters, alloy wheels, colour coded spoiler, alarm and electric windows. With these extra feature the car would have cost me 12,495 but I got it for 10,495 as it was registered two month ago and came with zero mileage. The driving experience is really cool; it handles corners like a skater on ice. The hold is really smooth as the sports suspension help in sharp corners. All the vision area i.e. your mirrors are really well placed, there enough room from the rear window to see two lanes. Servicing take place after 15,000 miles and will cost you around 200 pound. You will need to get the car service by a rover-approved mechanic; the reason for this is that you will invalid your three years warranty. There are two type of warrant, which you should watch out for. One is rover warranty and the other is rover approved. Be careful, as some of this company will charge you when you don't need to be. The rover warranty is much better than rover approved, this is because rover approved does not cover allot of thing in the car i.e. car stero. Other than this the car is well priced and recently offering a specia
l edition models Olympia and impression. Watch out for the MG version, which will be coming out later this year.

- 08/09/01 I had a serious look at Rover Cars. They are now extremely refined (just like the BMW's they have virtually become). They are also expensive. Sadly the 25 still has the 200's faults (a cramped rear seat, poor headroom & a rather firm ride). Price cuts though mean that they are a fairly affordable used car choice. |

- 09/07/01 Operator ... I canna make up my mind if you should be in the Zoo or the Museum (lol). As I said .. thought you were extinct as a breed... perhpas 'selective breeding required to preserve the species. |
