I've owned my new MGF steptronic for 5 months now and have just hit the 10,000 mile mark.

And I have to say that at present, i've been more than happy with the vehicle, I read loads of reports before deciding to plum for the F and took note of a lot of the knocks about its build quality, smell of petrol and all the other bits and pieces and in a wild moment jumped in with both feet....

and now after 5 months of driving the car around in all weather conditions, I must say that i've enjoyed every moment. the smell of petrol is there on occasions but the joy of cruising around the country have way outweighed any little inconviences.

I had a major problem with the gearbox at about 8,000 miles but the MG Assistance that came with the car more than compensated, there i was waiting for the you've bought it now hard luck line, BUT to my surprise and good fortune both my dealer and MG assistance staff were not only competent and helpful, but efficent beyound my dreams.

Well done MG on a fun , with a capital F, car and excellent after sales service
