Classy motoring for less (Saab 9000)

I have long been a fan of Saab cars, so the decision to buy one was not too hard to make. The model that I wanted was actually a 9000CSE, but I settled for a 9000CDE in maroon for the following reasons: - The leather upholstery, climate control, automatic gearbox, 2.0litre turbo charged engine (albeit somewhat limited, the e of CDE standing for ecopower which means that the turbo cuts out after a certain time). The first thing that impressed me was the smoothness of the ride. This car glides at most speeds yet still manages to be extremely quick for a family saloon. A wolf in sheep?s clothing would be totally appropriate as a description, yet the acres of space (the boot on the saloon model is incredibly large) means that a family of four or five fit in with no problem. As well as the overall high equipment level there are little touches, such as the armrest that has a hidden flap that allows you to carry long loads, assuming they are less than 10 inches in thickness. It is actually also handy for getting at things in the boot whilst you are traveling. Being a Saab everything is engineered superbly and this reflects in the handling, ride and overall drivability of the car. In summary, it looks fantastic, goes like a rocket and still performs well as a large family saloon. There is, of course, also the fact that Saab have terrible resale prices for no apparent reason (people are put of by the high cost of parts compared to, say, a Vauxhall) but when you balance this against the fact that they hardly ever go wrong if maintained well, I would say that it all balances out overall.
