I purchased this car roughly two years ago and I have been really pleased with its performance, I have never had a problem with it , the car is ten years old this year and you would expect a car of that age to be rather run down but everytime it is taken for its MOT they always say impressed they are with the condition its in , it has done 65,000 miles but drives like it has done 20,000. It is a great reliable car for those short journeys , it is a bit slow to accelerate when you are on my motorway but that can be expected from a 1.2, brilliant on petrol too as very economical. It has been my first car and it is brilliant as it has been so hassle free, I can recommend buying a SEAT to anyone , they are very well built and will give you most things you need from a car!
I purchased my 2008 - Seat Ibiza 1.2 Reference several months ago from my local Seat dealer. It was less than £7000 with a relatively low-mileage and was therefore very good value for money! The engine itself is Volkswagen, which certainly adds value and should make it rather reliable. It is my first car and so far has been excellent for me (apart from the speaker of which i blew from playing my music too loud!).
The car has great acceleration up until about 40mph, which makes it perfect for short journeys around town. Along parkways/motorways the car does seem a bit sluggish, and the acceleration isn't brilliant here (0-60mph in 14.5s).
For a 5-door hatchback the inside of the car is very spacious, and can easily fit 5 people in. The boot as also spacious.
Overall it is a great town car, and a great first car for me. It is economical and in a low insurance group, making it very cheap to run.
