A friend of mine has a Subaru Impreza 2.0GX and he kindly lets me drive it now and again(well he has no choice actually!!) and as a motoring enthusiast heres my general review of the vehicle; Followers of the motor sports scene will be well aware of the Subaru Impreza's sporting pedigree.For the uninitated,the Impreza saloon has both survived and starred in the sport that really puts technical toughness to the test:rallying. I am currently driving the Sport version of the 2 litre Subaru Impreza. I am finding its road holding ability quite remarkable. You do feel the difference in grip after driving two wheel drive cars. I think too that what has surprised me is the quietness of the car when the windows are closed. It has good suspension and evens out many a bump. There is a little whistling sound noticeable when you drive with the driver's window open-but this is definitely liveable with. I find it responsive to the accelerator- and in fact it does feel that the engine is waiting for you to rev it up. The clutch I have found to have a very long travel, and it is quite heavy.
