Advantages: Handling, looks, power, performance - everything!

Disadvantages: None!

There's no doubt about it... The Impreza is the greatest car ever to step out of a production line. Albeit a very small one. There are only 1000 of these babies in the UK and with such a sensible price tag everyone's after one (including me!).

This demon-car has one hefty grunt spurting out 280bhp from those four synchronized wheels. It can do 0-60 in a phenomenal 4.66 seconds! It comes in Mica blue just like the rally version that Colin McRae used to throw around the dirt tracks, and I'm sure you'll want to do the same when you get into this thing!

Supplied with the three year warranty, spoilers from Peter Stevens (better know for his work on the McLaren F1), suspension by Prodrive Limited and the fact that it does 0-60 in less than 5 seconds, it's a steal at £31,495. It goes head-to-head with the Mitsubishi Evolution VI, which ain't a bad car (0-60 in 4.4 seconds, £30,995) considering it's ugly looks.

The Impreza P1 is the definative boy-racers toy and in a few years time I'll turn YOUR heads when I shoot mud onto your clothes!

There is no doubt that the P1 is a very over rated car for the Money.
When you consider that you could purchase a new grey import STi VI for £21,000 which would leave you with over £10,000 difference in your pocket it starts to look quite an expensive beast to own.

I hear you say "but what about the warrenty" Yes it comes with a 3 year warrenty which is extendable for a further 2 years but you can purchase a warrenty just as good at a fraction of the £10,000 saved. If you was to add up the value of the different parts found on a P1 compared to a STi VI it might come out at about £4,000 tops meaning that you would still be saving over £6,000 and when you consider that there is reportedly still upto 400 P1's still not sold then I can't be the only person who thinks that the car is over rated for the price.

I hear you say "yes but it is an exclusive car, only 1000 produced"
Ok if you are after an exclusive Subaru Impreza than why not purchase a STi VI Limited which also comes in Rally Blue and surprisingly enough is also limited to run's of just 1000.
I feel that if you was to purchase a P1 today for list price you would be mad as The New age Impreza has been released and the 2nd hand price of the original Impreza's once thought to be unsinkable has taken a big dive off of Beachy head in the last few months, leaving quite a few owners out of pocket and unhappy, It also would appear that the 2nd hand price of P1's are being kept artificially higher to help shift the hundreds of unsold P1's from Dealers forecourts!

Don& #39;t get me wrong the P1 is a remarkable car, but for £10K less you can have another Impreza that is just as good if not better in a lot of people's eye's.
