Advantages: Seperate gearbox for manual low high 4 wheel drive

Disadvantages: none experianced to date (6 years)

I bought this vehicle as brand new in March 2005. I have just broken the fourty thousand mile mark. The vehicle has been looked after with servicing etc each year for both winter and summer as per the recommended time span. I drive a moderate number of miles in a number of ways ranging from longer distances of four hundred mile journies through to local stop start journies. I have also used the vehicl off road in a number of venues. Thus the vehicle has a good grounding on which I can give a solid opinion. The biggest single annoying issue is that the vehicle, from day one has a habit of locking itself no matter where the keys are. Inside, outside the vehicle makes no difference. Milage. On a run, I get better than the book mileage quoted at approximately 38 MPG. About town and short runs, approximately 33 MPG. It attracts rust on and around the non alloy wheels and has done so since the very early days. It is a good solid vehicle. Good for towing. I have towed boats, caravans and trailers, all without any problem whatever. Mototways and country lanes makes no difference. I, myself like the seperate gear boxing for selecting four wheel drive both in low and high options and definately in preference of the electronic press a switch or turn a knob versions that followed this one. A good solid and reliable vehicle to date.

Summary: A reliable 4x4 for a multiple purposes
