Advantages: Headroom, Engine size, Cheap to run and insure
Disadvantages: Not the most attractive car- you will be made fun of.
I feel this car is made with the older generation in mind., however, as a younger driver I found this car was ideal- despite its unconventional looks (I think it looks quite cute- but that's personal taste)
It has a 1.3L engine which is perfect for tootling about to and from work; and the petrol lasts for ages providing you don't go on the motorway- then it gets really thirsty- and being a car aimed at the older community means its cheap on the insurance.. It has substantial headroom- and with more upright seats (think van) makes it easier to get in with dodgier knees. But being 8 months pregnant- I find this car deals perfectly with my ever expanding waist.
As a 4-Seater MPV- it's meant to be a family car, spacing in the front is lovely! but opposite in the back- being 5ft this is adequate for me, but if I take other taller family members out there are often complaints about their knees around their necks and so forth.
The only issues I've had with the car MOT-wise is the brake disks; the back right disk has a habit of sticking so wears down more frequently. Other than that its been completely problem free.
I would really recommend this as a first car- I *love* it; its cheap to run, trouble free (for me at least) and has just enough room to ferry about their friends to and from school/McDonalds (or whatever kids do for fun these days) I wouldn't give it to them as a suprise on their 17th birthday though- as the look of the car really is a huge factor, and they might not be as appreciative at finally getting a car as you'd think.
Summary: A lovely ugly car, which I would definately buy again.
