Whaddya mean old mans car??? Does that mean at 50 im to old to drive a celica?? How ageist!
Anyway I bought my Celica 3 weeks ago - fully intending to replace my Diesell Mondeo with another Diesell Mondeo

However while passing a local car dealers saw this Silver 1999 celica ST in the forecourt, 23,000 miles and decided to give it a test. Loved it right away-The previous owner had kept it pristine, body work unmarked, trim and upholstery spotless so I bought it there and then.
Ive only had it the 3 weeks but its great, good road holding, plenty of power (despite other views) comfortable and plenty of head room once the drivers seat is ajusted correctly.
Im past my 'Boy racer' days (Now thast ME being ageist} so I really dont need a racing car but this Celica looks good, is reliable,comfortable and fairly economical to run (I get 420 miles to the full tank)- I can get wife and daughter in rear seats and son in front with no bother so to me its the ideal car. Only against my Celica has Radio cassette which I cant seem to get to work when the keys out of the ignition -but I will be fitting a 6 CD changer, also I dont like the standard Wheels plus plastic wheeltrims so they will be replaced with alloys as soon as possible. Air con a boon in the (Brief) Scottish Summer and ABS useful.
All in all a great car
