Advantages: Comfortable, great height, plenty of space

Disadvantages: Fuel! Has a huge tank and does pretty poor mpg

I've had my Landcruiser now for 3 years and it has been my dream car. Beautiful to look at from the outside and great to drive on the inside. I have the automatic 4 litre petrol version (am in Australia). Although it seems very big from the outside, it is surprisingly easy to drive and I love being so high up on the road as I'm pretty short and it gives me a much better view of the road. Inside it has all the usual plus individual climate control - which is great as my hubby and I prefer different temperatures.
Plenty of space inside for all the kids and their stuff, and the third row is great for hauling extra friends around or visiting grandparents. There's a lot of space back there compared with a lot of third rows.
Very easy to drive, and got loads of power - more so than a lot of little sports cars, and it means that you can overtake etc with confidence. Overall a great car. Downside is the fuel it drinks. With a 180 litre double fuel tank it can take a fair amount of money to fill it up, but the upside is that if you have little kids that hate waiting in the car while you get petrol, that at least you only have to go every 3-4 weeks.

Summary: If you can afford it go for it.
