I am on my second MR2 and have to say that it is a pure drivers car. From it's sporty looks to it's traditional sports car layout - Mid engined, Rear wheel drive, 2 seats (which is where the name MR2 comes from) it is a dream to drive and own.

The UK spec car is a mere 178bhp, but you can import a Turbo model from Japan for about £12000 for a 1994 model and that is a blisteringly powerful 240bhp and can achieve 0-60 acceleration times of about 5.5 seconds, which makes it one of the quickest cars on the roads today.
